The wedding planning was all worth it. Here are some robes (with pockets!) that Beth and I made a robe at a time, since December. We used mostly the fabulous Heather Bailey cotton fabric. Beth wanted her ten bridesmaids to feel special and comfortable while they all got ready at our house, the day of […]
Well, Full Disclosure, Not ALL Hobnail!
But, it is all Milkglass! All clean and in great shape, unlike me, sometimes!
MOB Cleaning Out!
This MOB (Mother-of-the-Bride) is now in the process of letting go and cleaning out! The wedding was all we could have hoped for, after spending the last 15 months planning and making stuff! What to do with all of this Fenton Hobnail milk glass? We collected over several months a bit of this, a lot […]
Annie Sloan Source Link
Here is the source link for Annie Sloan’s fabulous Chalk Paint and the wax, too!http://anniesloan.com/acatalog/copy_of_How_to_use_the_paint.htmlI’ve added a couple of before pics, too. The old was chipping so much, and really sort of “old-smelly”. The Chalk paint helped to seal in that old smell, for which I was especially grateful!
Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint Project!
Oh,wow. I certainly haven’t posted in a while! My excuse is that I have been in MOB (mother-of-the-bride) wedding planning mode for the past 15 months, and the wedding happened just last weekend! Hooray! All of the planning ended up being SO worth it. After I get those vases back to the florist, I hope […]
5.5 Yards Out of .5 Yard of Fabric!
Found a neat instruction on making continuous binding. I used .5 yards of fabric, measured 3.5″ for width, and easily created one loooong 5.5 yd piece of binding! Will use for trim of new guest room pillows.
New Year…New Focus
2011 is the year of my daughter’s wedding! Wow. The date? July 30, 2011. As you can imagine, we are having a blast with all of the planning of this big shindig. Does anyone say “shindig” anymore? I do have an easy job of MOB (Mother-of-the-Bride) since my daughter is an event planner with Turner, […]

7 Months Since My Last Post?!
HOw can that be?! Time flies. I’ve been working hard and learning and living machine embroidery, orders for same, and creating digitized designs. There is a big learning curve, but I’m loving it. I now have a new website dedicated to only embroidery, instead of ALL of my interests. Trying to keep it simple, to […]
New Year! Happy!
I love having a new year to play in. It’s a fresh, blank slate sort of feeling. The hectic holidays are as old news as last year. Drawers to clean out, old coupons tossed, mending to do, garage windows to wash. I know. Who the heck does this stuff?! Well, those are the items so […]
