Have Fun Outdoors without Having to Worry About Pesky and Dangerous Mosquitoes!

Living with woods surrounding us, and close to water, we have always had to combat flying bugs, and especially mosquitoes! We are always on the lookout for mosquito control, but we want it to be EASY and effective.

Our lower patio is about 14′ x 14′, which is perfect for this little, but effective Mosquito Repellent Lantern. It repels mosquitoes for an area about 15’x15′. Of course, if we had a bigger space, we would add another lantern in another area.

The Stinger company sent me this little mosquito repellent lantern. When I opened the box, I was so pleasantly surprised to see that they had thoughtfully included the batteries needed to operate the lantern! I was further impressed to note that these were Duracell brand batteries, instead of no-names! I liked that these, along with the mosquito repellent packet, were neatly packaged in the very top of the box, rather than just being thrown to the bottom of it.

It was as easy as opening the foil packet and inserting the nicely scented, citrus-infused repellent packet into the sliding tray. I was happy to experience a very natural and fresh scent, rather than a “chemical” smell. It has all natural ingredients, which I am happy to know.

Did I mention that this lantern also has a built in LANTERN? Choose, just by flipping the switch, to activate the repellent, the light, or both! I love the warm, soft glow that it emits. The smell is wonderful, too!

I also liked that it was portable. I chose to place it on the table, but it has a handy handle which can also be used to hang between people and pests!

It includes the lure NOSQITO, which lasts 30 days. It is great for use on the patio or deck! We even carried it down to the dock at sunset, and it was VERY effective in flying bug control, so we could enjoy the sunset without swatting at the bugs. It has a grill on its exterior, so that larger bugs, such as butterflies and bees cannot enter the “Zap” zone. That feature did make me feel better.

I do want to say that you will want to place this larger lantern about 10′ away from the “people action.” It is more for use on the perimeter, since it does zap bugs. The lure scent is not objectionable, but mosquitoes like that scent more than they do the citrus scent of the smaller lantern! I found that I am more of a fan of the citrus, but then, I am not a mosquito! I do know that this larger lantern was very effective in controlling and “eliminating” the biting bugs, and I’m all for that!
