I’m going to a party. A party for a good cause. It’s called, “Nite in Olde Cumming,” and is the one fundraising event that Sawnee Woman’s Club has each year. This year it is Saturday night, March 22nd, at the Three Chimneys Club House. Just let me know if you want to come! I’ll meet you at the door at 7 p.m. and sell you a ticket! Great band, and fab food, too! Oh! And drinks and Casino games, too! If you can’t make it, I’ll post some pics and tell you all about it, and what you missed.
What do they do with all that we raise at this one event? What don’t they?! Well, really, they have all sorts of events and meetings and classes that benefit the people of Forsyth County, in Cumming, Georgia, and way beyond. In short, they give back. In a big, unselfish way. I am proud to be a small part of this group. It doesn’t even matter that I could be a good 20 years older than the majority of them! They are a fun, non-stuffy, energetic group and I try to keep up!
Is it okay that we happen to have a blast at this yearly event? I say it is! I take a ton of pictures at many of our events, but perhaps some will stay safe with me, not to be posted… Ever. We do need to keep up appearances.
And, why am I telling you about this event? Because the pillow I made to donate to the Silent Auction turned out so dang nice that it will be hard for me to prop it up at that Silent Auction and smile as I let go of it, mentally. It happens to be our last name initial, which probably wasn’t a very good idea to use, given my devil-on-my-shoulder way of coveting it!
Want to know the initial reason I used, “B?” I looked at the roster of the club and noticed so many of the the last names began with a “B” so I thought that it might have the greatest likelihood of being bid on!
So, say good bye to this sweet burlap, monogrammed pillow. Need a silent auction item? Next time I won’t tempt myself with a “B.” Maybe YOUR initial?

May I ask what font this is and what size?

I believe I used AGELess Emb Antique Script Alpha. It was a free alpha that I collected for being in the Ageless Embroidery group? I really can’t recall. It is almost 8″ x 6″. It stitched beautifully.
