In Atlanta, GA, today (Thursday) Friday and Saturday. I wandered as I wanted, and enjoyed the eye candy of all that is sewing and quilting related. Well, not ALL related to just that. I saw products for droopy boobs (yep, really) and files for your fingernails, all blinged up in such pretty colors! Oh gosh, so much to see. I go every year and enjoy connecting with friends and vendors, and am always on the lookout for the next new thing!
Look around! Pretend you were with me on my meandering around the booths at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo!
Here are some of my faves.
First, pure beauty and inspiration
This quilt was found in this booth:
THESE Serrated Snips are the MAIN Reason I came back this year! I LOVE THEM! They are the only mfg that makes little serrated blades. They are pretty, too. My FAVORITE scissors in my sewing room. You can order them online. famorecutlery.com |
Wow! What a difference a good bra makes! This booth was so busy I couldn’t even get into it to look at the bras! I will try to get to their site to “bras” around. Heh heh.
Now on to some Fresh as Spring blanks and bags from Susan Mars at www.AllAboutBlanks.com.
Susan is SO kind and special. Her embroidery blanks are of such a high quality, and she bends over backwards in her customer service. She is in Atlanta, like me, but ships everywhere!
Here is Mel, the owner of Southeast Sewing, aka sewingmachine.com He is in Atlanta, too, and many of us in embroidery and sewing groups have ordered all sorts of parts and supplies from Mel! |
This is Jeff, also with sewingmachine.com

LOVE this field trip QK, and your pictures are amazing! It was great spending a few hours together yesterday at the expo, and you are so right about those nail files .. I’ve already used mine, and will be ordering more for gifts! Wish I would have picked up a pair of those snips tho … I’ve already added those to my shopping list for next year! All this info is so helpful and interesting, thank you! I am going to look now at the exhibitors in the Worcester show and see if any of the companies you mentioned are meandering up north! Good to see those creative ideas!
