Pull Muffler for Noisy Knockers

Ummm, my title might not be quite the meaning I was thinking of…. BUT, if you happen to have a boy’s room that is loosely centered around a western theme, then my little noise reduction tip might be just the ticket.  My “boy” is now 25 and lives on his own.  It is much quieter in the morning than it used to be, as he would pull open every drawer in the room, looking for something to wear!  Rattle rattle, cling-clank!  RATTLE, Clink Clank!!!  I finally decided it didn’t have to be like that.  I like a peaceful morning…  I just found some suede strips and cut them to lengths that would work.  Lashed them through thet drawer pull CLANKERS and don’tcha know…  The clanking is now and forever more a soft, dull, thud, thud.  No more CLANKety Clank!

I know.  I’m weird about harsh sounds.  I still jump every time hubby runs a random paper through the dang shredder.  Wonder if rawhide strips would work on that???
