My dad just passed away on December 20th. Alzheimer’s grabbed him and finally took him away. I just received a box with some of his things. The little Bible is dated 1886, and has several of his ancestor signatures inside, faded, like this photo. Faded doesn’t make a memory any less real… I wish I could read the entire signature on the baseball. Here’s to not forgetting.
Hi QuirkyKim – so sorry for your loss. This is such a beautiful image . . .
Sorry for your loss. It is a hard time for you! The bible and the baseball will be a cherished memory. Lovely photograph you have created.
Kim, your image is beautiful. My sympathies to you.
I’m sorry for the loss of your dad. But what beautiful, tangible items to have.
Beautiful photo…sorry to hear of your loss.
A wonderful way to remember your Dad, great work.
So sorry about the loss of your Dad …. he will be in your heart forever.
That shot is great!
Well done!
Kim, my sympathies to you. A father’s place in a girl’s life is special, irreplaceable…
Your photo is spectacular and deserves printing & framing so it will be somewhere you can see it often.
so sorry for your loss. what great treasure you now possess. thanks for sharing your heart.
So sorry for you loss. Alzheimers is a horrible disease for everyone who loves the person attacked by it. Your photo is beautiful and inspiring. Nice to meet you and good luck in Beyond Layers. Angie:)
Grandpa Norm would love this picture. I agree with one of the comments left that you need to frame it and hang it somewhere. It’s cool too because to some people baseball is a religion. I love what the photo says.
Wow Kim, beautiful work. Our dad would love the baseball and the bible. His religion were the cubbies. I would love to have a copy of the limited prints of that picture. Well actually all of them.
Actress, craft queen, and artist what next?
Love,
Alison
